The Armenian Genocide 1915 Wristband Campaign
Q. What is it? A. The ‘Armenian Genocide 1915’ wristband campaign is designed to both promote recognition and raise awareness of the 1915 Armenian Genocide, continuously denied by the Turkish government and ignored in the West. Its aim is also to raise funds for the Campaign for Recognition of the Armenian Genocide (CRAG).
Q. Who is the organiser? A. The wristband campaign is fully sponsored and commissioned by the Armenian Students Association of the UK (ASA UK) as part of the ongoing events to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Q. Why is it orange? A. The use of the colour orange was chosen to coincide with the pan-Armenian colour depicted on the Armenian flag. The colour represents Armenian land and serves as a symbol of freedom.
Q. Where will the money go? A. All the profit from the wristbands will be donated to the Campaign for Recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the UK.
